MOZART THE GREAT

Join the brilliant Brandenburg Choir for a sparkling, dramatic and spine tingling event.

Mozart's great masterpiece sends shivers down the spine and will bring you to tears. A glorious piece, similar to the Requiem: his Mass in C Minor, known as The Great. Spine tingling and heart pounding, with a double voice choir, four vocal soloists and the brilliant Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, it is dramatic, exciting and thrilling.

A pasticcio of small Mozart works opens the concert, close your eyes and listen to an innocent lullaby, a cheeky canon, a duet for horns and two of the most beautiful pieces Mozart ever wrote - the Adagio from his Gran Partita and the Ave verum corpus motet for choir and organ.

Music includes Eine kleine Nachtmusik and Mozart's Mass in C Minor.

Fiona Campbell & Sara Macliver

“Sarah Macliver, as always, sang with a line of flowing gold…Fiona Campbell suavely navigated the wide contrasts of range and dramatic rhetorical leaps…the choir created a polyphony of magnificent clarity“. Sydney Morning Herald 10 May 2013

  • SURFING DIVA #2
We've heard from Fiona about her surfing prowess, but it seems she has some fierce competition from fellow MOZART THE GREAT soloist and good mate, SARA MACLIVER.

"I too have had some surfing lessons (not that I'm trying to outdo Diva Campbell!) On a family holiday to the central coast of NSW in January I managed to surf my one and only wave from "out the back". It was utterly terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time. I'm also a bit of an exercise "junkie". I go a bit stir crazy if I don't exercise at least 4 times a week."
