Assistant Box Office Manager
(12-month maternity leave contract) 

An exciting opportunity exists to join one of Australia’s leading arts companies as Assistant Box Office Manager. Working in a small and dynamic team, the Assistant Box Office Manager will bring to the role a flair for verbal and written customers communication, natural problem-solving abilities and a very high level of attention to detail.

THE ROLE
The Assistant Box Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company’s Box Office and Ticketing services. There is an emphasis on the efficient and effective service of the company’s audiences and stakeholders, as well as the smooth delivery of all ticketing services and associated reporting and data management. The Assistant Box Office Manager is also expected to work after hours on concert desks at times and venues to be determined, including on weekends and potentially interstate, with standard overtime conditions applying. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Coordinate the day-to-day ticketing operations of the company including ticketing hardware, ticketing software and ticketing supplies. 
  2. In consultation with the Business Systems Manager/Head of Customer Relations, assist to train casual Box Office staff in the use of the Tessitura ticketing system. 
  3. Provide a high level of professional and friendly customer service to all the company’s customers, audiences and stakeholders including donors and sponsors. 
  4. Establish and maintain a professional and friendly association with all external ticketing agencies with which the company engages. 
  5. Liaise with relevant personnel at venues with regard to any of the company’s ticketing requirements. 

The role a maternity leave cover contract for 12-months with the possibility of extension.

Business Systems Analyst (Full Time)

The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra is seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Systems Analyst, working on a full-time basis at our Mascot office. We are entering an exciting period in the Orchestra’s history as we continue to grow and develop our online presence, particularly through our online digital performance stage Brandenburg One.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Business Operations you will be responsible for both the day-to-day and the strategic operation of the information management processes and information technology. There is an emphasis on the implementation, improvement and effective utilization of systems throughout the Company including Tessitura and TNEW, as well as co-ordinating information technology support for the Company and other business systems as required.

CRITERIA

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • At least two years’ experience in a variety of application technologies including but not limited to Tessitura, TNEW & Office 365
  • SQL experience to develop reports and utilities using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Integration services (SSIS) applications
  • Ability to interpret user requirements and translate into technical specifications and procedures.
  • Excellent communication (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills to support and liaise with all departments including providing training in IT applications and establishing successful working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, analyse and effectively problem solve, and meet targets and deadlines, whilst working with minimal supervision.
